FAT VERSUS SUGAR

I watched a program yesterday on research being done on what makes people fat. Hi sugar diet or high fat diet.

Researchers found using rats that if they were fed a hi fat diet the rats brains stopped them eating when they had enough to eat and only put on a small amount of weight.

The same rats fed a high sugar diet the same thing happened the brain triggered the rats to stop eating when they had their fill and again only a small weight gain.

They then fed them a mixture of hi fat and high sugar and both never stopped eating and put on huge amounts of weight.

Why does this happen you ask, well in nature there is no such thing as high fat, high sugar in single food products. Unfortunatly foods that are produced for our consumption have high fat and sugar. Our full switch never gets turned on as no signal is given from the brain to stop eating.

Try eating sugar only and it tastes terrible same with fat. So getting away from prosessed foods will enhance your chance of losing weight. A low carb diet has fats but very little sugar so you feel full for longer.
